Mighty Koba & Bellamy Aman – “Body”

Our Rating: 8/10

“Body” knows exactly what it’s trying to do, and to its credit, it commits.

Built on a fluid Afro Fusion foundation, the track leans into rhythm as its driving force. There’s a physicality to it that makes sense once you understand Mighty Koba’s approach. This is music designed to move first and explain itself later. The groove is immediate, layered with percussive detail that keeps things in motion without becoming cluttered.

Where the track opens up is in the contrast.

Bellamy Aman brings a smooth energy into the mix, softening the edges of Koba’s rhythmic intensity. It’s a familiar pairing, Afropop bounce meeting R&B restraint, but it’s executed cleanly. His tone adds polish and accessibility, making the track easier to sit with across different audiences.

Sonically, it sits comfortably alongside artists like Burna Boy in terms of its global Afro Fusion ambition.

“Body” is well-produced, well-performed, and easy to engage with. It leans heavily on established genre formulas. The rhythm is familiar, the structure is safe, and the collaboration works.

It’s a song that flows, rather than hits.

That’s not a flaw, but it does mean it risks blending into a very saturated space where Afro Fusion is already dominating global playlists. To rise above that, a track needs either a sharper sonic edge, a more memorable hook, or a vocal moment that cuts through instantly.

What “Body” does prove is that both artists understand the lane they’re in.

The chemistry is there. The musicality is there. The intent to reach a global audience is clear. Something that doesn’t just move people but stays with them after the track ends.

Right now, “Body” invites you in and it demands your attention.
